Vintage 70's Sone Japan Mark Sunflower Dinnerware Set China 39 pieces

Vintage Mostly Un-used China Dinnerware Set. Dating to the 1970's. 39 pieces, includes 4 matching serving pieces never used. This is a beautiful set of Japanese china dating to and discontinued in, the 1970's. The design is happy and captivating; a nice period style that translates well to our time. I bought this in the late 70's from an army wife who had been stationed in Japan with her husband, which is where she picked these up. I didn't use this set because I moved and had these in storage (they didn't match the new kitchen). Nice quality and very pretty on display. No scratches, chips or cracks/crazing. Here's what you get. 8 dinner plates measuring 10 1/4 inches, no wear and look new. 8 soup plates, measuring 7 1/2 ins by 1 /14 ins. 7 salad plates, measuring 7 3/4 ins. 6 sets cups/saucers, cups measure 4 1/4 ins across the handle by 3 1/4 ins and 2 and 7/8 ins tall. The saucers are 6 ins diameter.

Slight wear to two cups at the edges; no cracks or chips on any. My mother absconded with 2 sets plus a salad plate, which I never got back. 1 sugar bowl w/lid, measures 4 1/4 by 3 1/2 ins. 1 creamer is 5 1/2 by 3 1/4 ins. With no wear, never used.
