Service for 6 Lenox American Belleek Parian Ware Dinnerware, 86B Ivory Gold Rim

American Belleek: ivory Parian Ware porcelain dinnerware with a gold rim / border, produced sometime in the range of 1889 to 1906, plain backstamp with or without the Belleek name, and most are numbered with 86B, both alone or with a shape number before it separated by a /. "Lenox Belleek" refers to high-quality Parian Ware porcelain made by the Lenox company, which is based on the American version of the original Belleek porcelain from Northern Ireland. It is characterized by its thin, strong, ivory-colored material, a smooth, marble-like surface, and artistic decoration. Lenox's "American Belleek" is a successful imitation that became a luxury product, with Walter Scott Lenox being a key figure in its development in the United States starting in the late 19th century. Condition is excellent with very light signs of previous use.
