Royal Doulton 4 Dinner Plates 10 1/4 Ra4065. A Pink Roses Turquoise Beads 1903. A beautiful ROYAL DOULTON Set of 4 Dinner PLATES, PINK ROSES on WHITE w/Raised TURQUOISE Beading & Extensive GOLD LACY Trim, Circa 1903 from Burslem, Staffordshire, England. DESCRIPTION: This superb quality china has colors that are bright and vivid on a white background. This has a bold scalloped gold trim on the rim. The colors used are pink, blue & green on white with gold trim. The pattern is so pretty with the pink roses, lacy gold scrollwork and the vivid turquoise raised bead garland trim. CONDITION: While this set is classified as used, the condition is superb. One plate has a smooth flake out of the back foot rim. Another plate has very minor crazing on the edge of the plate that can be seen on both the front & back.
See photos #14 & #15. There are no chips, nicks, cracks, rubbings or hairlines. There is no wear to the colors including the bold gold trim on the rims.
DIMENSIONS: The smooth rimmed dinner plates have a diameter of 10 1/4" with a height of 15/16". Pinder left the business in 1882 and it was reconstituted under the name Doulton & Co. The Royal Warrant and the right to use "Royal" in the name of its products were granted in 1901. There is an incised date of 1903 on back of plates.
