McCarty Pottery Mississippi Nutmeg 8 INCH PLUS Square Plate / Tray MINT

A lovely plate or tray suitable for sandwiches, appetizers, desserts, this one is a beauty to display on an easel easily attainable at Hobby Lobby stores, etc. , as it has exceptional colors - light cocoa matte nutmeg sprinkles with a lot of fairly heavy white drip glaze, a dark Mississippi River mark on the front, AND a nice white McCartys signature on the front (as well as the etched in signature on the back).

They used a good slab of clay on this one, as it weighs 2 lbs. It has nice straight sides. MEASURES 8 BY 8.25 INCHES - LOOKS SQUARE. Just finished cleaning out my father's home after he passed, and I cannot leave my kids my clutter and chaos. So, downsizing it is, and I've finally decided to part with the McCarty dinnerware.

This one was so pretty, it was not used for food, although it certainly is durable for that purpose. Ten to 15 years old ballpark. Will package extremely well - heavy duty box - secure! Thank you & happy new year!
