Offered for sale is a 69 piece set of Harvest Blue Dinnerware designed by Clarice Cliff, English Artist. It features blue transfer ware poppies and grasses against a creamy semi-porcelain. Anufactured in the 1930's by Arthur J. Stoke-On-Trent in England, who also used the Royal Staffordshire Pottery mark. 11 Dinner Plates 10 1/8(2 w small chips-one underside only). 10 Bread & Butter Plates 6.5'.

2 pc Sugar & Lid 6''x 4'. 1 Oval Serving Platter 11 3/4'.

2 Vegetable Serving Bowls 8'' (1 bowl has small chip on the rim, see pics). While Clarice is known for her incredibly colorful art deco patterns, this an earlier style. Wilkinson Ltd, , owned by Colley Shorter and his brother who later became Clarice's husband, hired Clarice in 1916 when she was 17 years.

Clarice was a very ambitious girl, and very talented, and in a time when women seldom had such opportunities, Clarice became a ceramic designer, and eventually head of her own department.
