This Pattern was issued in a very limited edition in 1942 and is Rare and very difficult to find today (especially in lightly used condition)! Famed designer Kay Hackett created most of the Pennsylvania Dutch Motifs. Description: This dinnerware was made from red clay and then the Folk Art Pennsylvania Dutch motifs were traced & carved into it.
Then the pieces were under-glazed with liquid white clay, and fired. Next the designs were hand painted and the pieces were fired again. Each piece of Stangl features unique brush strokes, free form designs, and varied depths of color and carvings. Occasionally, the carvers and hand painters added their initials on the backs (many of these pieces are marked).
Expect roughness of body texture, small chips where the glaze didn't take and other imperfections! NOTE: ALL PIECES HAVE FACTORY IMPERFECTIONS!!! The the price per piece of each item is shown above in "The list of pieces included" in the set. If you live on the East or West Coast or in Florida it will be much more! Postal rates are increasing every year!
