This listing is for a large 106-piece antique Theodore Haviland Limoges of France dinnerware set. Based on the backmarkings, the set dates to 1903. We believe that to be correct, but it's difficult to be certain.
98 of the pieces are in that original pattern, and 8 are "Marie" pattern replacements. Most of the set is nearly pristine, but four of the dinner plates are damaged. 11 dinner plates, 7 in pristine condition, 2 with minor chips, 1 with a significant chip, and 1 with a visible crack. 4 replacement dinner plates ("Marie" pattern). 12 sauce bowls (8 original, 4 "Marie" pattern replacements). 4 serving platters (9", 11", 14", 16"). 2 covered oval serving dishes. 1 covered round soup serving dish. 1 gravy boat and underplate. 1 round butter dish with drainer. 1 medium round serving bowl. 1 medium oval serving bowl with handles. That's a total of 17 serving dishes (13 dishes, 4 lids) and 12 place settings (1 plate missing, 4 others damaged to some degree, and 4 missing sauce bowls), along with one extra teacup and saucer; making 98 pieces in the original pattern, and 8 additional pieces in the non-matching pattern, for a grand total of 106 pieces.
